HVAC Service Technician
Alamo Heating and Cooling is looking for a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, provides excellent customer service, and has strong technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, ductless mini splits, etc.)
- Recommend repair or replacement options to customers with clear explanations
- Perform inspections and maintenance to prevent future issues
- Provide excellent customer service and keep homeowners informed
- Document all services performed and communicate with dispatch
- Keep company vehicle clean and organized
- Maintain a professional appearance and follow company standards
- Help train and support newer technicians
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC service experience
or at least 5 years total experience in HVAC (service + install) - Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Must have trade tools and a valid driver’s license
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen
Bonus Points:
- Trade school graduate
- EPA certified
- NATE certification (not required, but a plus!)
Physical Requirements:
- Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors in various weather
- Able to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, kneel, and bend regularly
